At FMC Books, our community is built one book club and one flash mob at a time. These gatherings aren’t just events—they’re rituals of connection, chaos, and mutual obsession. Whether you're whispering about spice levels over snacks or showing up in a corset to storm downtown with fellow book lovers, you’re part of the magic. We believe in low-pressure meetups, high-impact friendships, and the kind of joy that only comes from giggling about fictional men in public.   • Join us for First Friday as we welcome local artistEmily Matsumurato FMC Books. Emily creates vibrant, cartoon-inspired artwork that transforms familiar people, places, and objects into bold, expressive pieces full of personality. Meet the artist, explore her colorful collection, and enjoy an evening of local art, romance books, and community. Admission is free...we'd love to see you there.

  • Wanna play mermaids with us? Remember when all you needed was a shell necklace and a little imagination to become a mermaid? Join us for an evening of hair charms, as we embrace our inner mermaids together. We'll provide everything you need, just bring your hair and a willingness to make the kind of questionable adult decisions your 10-year-old self would have thought were the coolest thing ever.
