Welcome to FMC Books - and to me, Tara, your local book peddler, romance enthusiast, and unapologetic main character.

When I first dreamed up FMC, it wasn’t just about selling books. It was about creating a space - somewhere readers could feel seen, celebrated, and a little bit unhinged about their favorite stories. What started as a pop-up experiment around Missoula grew into a full-blown bookstore downtown, filled with color, laughter, and more romance novels than my younger self ever thought she’d be allowed to read in public.

Every corner of this shop has a piece of my heart: the dark shelves, the cheeky signs, the local art, the book clubs that get a little too spicy. But more than anything, it’s the people who walk through the door - the regulars, the curious first-timers, the friends who became family - who make this place magic.
